Welcome. I provide landscape design plus small - medium shrub & tree pruning for landscape maintenance around Medford, Jacksonville, Central Point and Ashland in southern Oregon. The landscape care and pruning is almost entirely in Rogue Valley. I am also adept with Japanese Maple pruning. Homeowners often call for advice about trees and landscape care. Those consultations average 1 hour and cover soil, plants, irrigation practices, weed control plus tree care advice and arborist reports. I can also spread or replenish bark and decorative gravel mulch.
Over the years, I found that the nuts & bolts of tree care are unrealized by many landscape architects and arborists because most are confined within a single facet. Ideally this trade requires the mindset of arborist, horticulturist and designer merged into one thought process. I'm one of the few who experienced all those aspects, and it proves a difference for homeowners' environments. My pruning trends "natural" but I can make exception for unique houses like this unique Rogue Valley Landscape. Since my equipment is compact plus doing work myself, I usually provide better prices than large crews for small tree and shrub care. On the side, I also provide professional photography which evolved from measuring coast redwoods for research. Eventually forest photography evolved into portraits and weddings. I entered horticulture in 1980 with golf courses, university campuses, and urban parks, followed by residential landscapes in 1988 - over 40 years experience.
